MWRC staff work with the Illinois Department of Human Services to break down language and cultural barriers and help clients identify and access benefits that are available to them through local, state, and federal programs.
MWRC helps individuals with low English proficiency and other challenges, while assisting with the attaining of U.S. Citizenship.
Healthy Living Programs are offered through a variety of programs and services. Some of the services MWRC offers include Hepatitis B awareness and education, Colon Cancer awareness, Women’s Health, Immunization Campaigns, Diabetes, CPR and First Aid Certification, Breast and Cervical Cancer prevention, and much more. Free health screening is provided through annual health fairs and community outreach activities.

The Muslim Women Resource Center Internship Program currently has five Paid part-time members. Our interns are assigned to our After School Program and are engaged in a wide variety of educational activities.
